The island is also often mentioned in the media, in connection with the well-known actor couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson having their own holiday home on the island.

Beaches Antiparos‘ beaches are mostly sandy and are child-friendly and shallow. There are two beaches near Antiparos town, These beaches have shade when the sun is at its peak in the middle of the day.. Soros beach is on the southeast side and according to many is the best beach on the island. Agios Georgios beach is also very popular.

We were only on a short one-day trip to the island, where we drove around a bit on a scooter. We think the main town “Hora” was nice. There were plenty of tourists, but we were also there only in July.
