To get to AntiParos you have to take the ferry from the neighboring island of Paros. The ferry trip Paros to Antiparos is from the harbour in Pounta, Buses depart frequently from Paros’ main port in Parikia, as well as the most popular villages around the island. From the port travelers can take the car ferry over to Antiparos, which takes 7 minutes. You can take your car or just leave it in the Pounta car park and drive as a walk-on passenger.

In 2022 Antiparos – Paros ferry tickets cost €2.00 per passenger and €7.30 per car. Children ride for free and all tickets are one way. Tickets are only sold inside the boat and cannot be booked in advance. You can only pay in cash and only in euros. Credit cards are not accepted. Ferries sail daily Monday to Sunday all year round. (depending on the wind.) During high season you may not get on the first ferry you want, and you may have to wait for the next one. In 2023, the ferry will sail from Pounta every 20 to 30 minutes between 7:15 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. at the weekend or 19.30 on weekdays. The return ferry from Antiparos to Pounta will depart every 20 to 30 minutes between 7.00 and 23.15 at the weekend or at 19.15 on weekdays. There is also the possibility of a passenger ferry from Parikia on Paros to AntiParos. It takes about 30 minutes.

Antiparos is a lovely little island. The main street of Antiparos town is car-free and full of small shops, taverns and cafes. Here you can sit and look at the life around you.

It is quite peaceful on AntiParos and the only sights, apart from the beautiful nature, are a large stalactite cave and the old castle. In addition, there are several boat trips to the beautiful caves found along the coast.

The island is also often mentioned in the media, in connection with the well-known actor couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson having their own holiday home on the island.

Beaches Antiparos‘ beaches are mostly sandy and are child-friendly and shallow. There are two beaches near Antiparos town, These beaches have shade when the sun is at its peak in the middle of the day.. Soros beach is on the southeast side and according to many is the best beach on the island. Agios Georgios beach is also very popular.

We were only on a short one-day trip to the island, where we drove around a bit on a scooter. We think the main town “Hora” was nice. There were plenty of tourists, but we were also there only in July.
